Getting paid

Who can receive tips

• Anyone who signed up as a bartender, at any point. Leaving the trade later does not take it away.
• Anyone with the verified professional badge.
• Brands never receive tips; they run prizes through Merit on the web dashboard instead.

There is no switch for this. If your account qualifies, a Getting paid and a Tips section appear on the You tab.

Link your Merit account

1. Install Merit and create an account there.
2. In Merit, open Profile → Connect Mixify. It shows a short code (like MX-XXXX-XX) that works once, for a few minutes.
3. In Mixify, go to You → Getting paid, paste the code and tap Link Merit.
4. Mixify shows whose Merit account the code belongs to. Tap Yes, that’s me only if it is yours.

Once linked, the section says since when, and whether Merit is ready to pass rewards to you. If it is not ready yet, finish your verification in Merit; Mixify updates on its own.

• Never use a code someone else sent you. Tips would go to their account. If the name shown is not yours, tap No, not me; nothing is linked.
• A new code in Merit cancels the older ones. Use the newest.
• One Merit account links to one Mixify account.
• Unlink stops tips showing in Mixify. Your Merit account itself is not touched.

Send your tips to a cause

Tips come to you unless you choose a charity or fund instead. You still get the credit for the drink.

1. Go to You → Tips → Where my tips go.
2. Search for the cause by name and tap Send my tips here. You can add a short line about why.
3. To switch back, tap Send tips back to me.

Cause not listed? Tap Propose a cause that is not listed and give its official registration number. We check it on the charity register; until then, tips keep coming to you. You can also pick a different cause for a single drink, from that drink’s page.

How people tip you

From the page of a drink you created. The tip goes to you, or to the cause you chose, and the drink page says which. Your personal code (You → My code) opens your page; it is not a way to pay.
